ANAPHYLAXIS - Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (22300VIC)

Information about the course:

This unit describes the outcomes required to assist a person suffering an anaphylactic reaction until the arrival of medical assistance. Application of this unit relates to the use of adrenaline auto-injecting devices, (e.g. EpiPen®/Anapen®).

The unit covers the recognition, management, prevention and risk minimisation strategies related to allergic reactions and anaphylaxis. It provides the outcomes required to develop and implement a management plan to reduce the risk of severe reactions in individuals diagnosed with anaphylaxis

Target audience:

Those who are required to provide an emergency first aid response in a workplace. 

Award issued:

Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for:

Course duration:

  • Option 1 Full course: 4 hours face-to-face training
  • Option 2 Flexible delivery: Pre course study and 2 hours face-to-face training
  • Option 3 Refresher course: 2 hours face-to-face training
